Chrysler featured a rectangular steering wheel, often described as "squared-off," in the early 1960s, specifically from 1960 to 1964.
This design was used on select models, including the 1960 Plymouth Fury, 1963 and 1964 Chrysler 300, New Yorker, and some Imperials. The 1963 Newport had a slightly rounder version, but the New Yorker and 300 models had more pronounced rectangular shapes, considered "cutting edge" for interior styling at the time.
