* Clear the area of kids, pets, and anyone else who isn't essential to the task.
* Wear appropriate clothing, including long sleeves, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and any personal protective equipment listed on the label.
* Remove personal items like drink cups, tools, toys, and your phone from the spray area.
* Don't spray outside during windy conditions.
* Ensure that the area is well-ventilated when spraying indoors.
* Don't mix more than you need right away or store any excess solution.
* Always wash your hands after spraying pesticides, especially before eating or drinking.
* Use absorbent materials like sawdust and kitty litter to absorb spills, and avoid spraying with water — this is more likely to spread the solution with potentially harmful consequences. Dispose of the used absorbent materials with plastic garbage bags and seal promptly.
* Check the product label for disposal instructions. Pesticides are considered hazardous waste and should be disposed of according to local and state regulations.
