Study: Student IQs are average

In 1940, 10 percent of adults attended college and 60 percent had only an elementary education or no formal schooling at all. By 2009, 56 percent attended college and 6 percent had only early education, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

In February, Canadian researchers released a meta-analysis of IQ scores on IQ tests from 1939 to 2022. They found that the average IQ of undergraduate students is 102, or average, and has declined .2 points per year since 1939.
