Just a week after its launch, the viral app Neon has gone dark amid reports of a security flaw that allowed open access to user phone numbers, call recordings, and transcripts. According to TechCrunch, the app paid users to record their phone calls and sell the data to AI companies1000 to train AI models. Neon has not yet announced if or when it will return.
