Older Americans in popular culture

Who says millennials are the only ones rocking popular culture? In honor of Older Americans Month, here are some men and women in popular culture who prove that 25-year-olds aren't the only ones having fun and being awesome.

– Grace and Frankie. This Netflix show stars 79-year-old Lily Tomlin and 81-year-old Jane Fonda as opposites who become unlikely friends after their husbands leave them for one another. The show recently wrapped up its fifth season and has been approved for a sixth.

– The Cool Kids. The Fox sitcom is situated in a retirement community, where the main characters vie for popularity status.

– The Rolling Stones. Everyone assumes 75-year-old guitarist Keith Richards will outlive all of us, and the rock band is still selling out stadiums.

– Narrator David Attenborough, the voice of "Blue Planet," is 92 (93 on May 8).

– Actor Dick van Dyke, 93, appeared in the movie "Mary Poppins Returns"; he starred in the 1964 original and has had a lengthy acting career.

– Actor Tim Allen, 65, stars in the sitcom Last Man Standing and once again voiced Buzz Lightyear in this year's Toy Story 4.
