The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seized thousands of units of fake Ozempic that are difficult to distinguish from the real thing, according to CBS News. Fraudsters have taken advantage of an ongoing Ozempic shortage to pose as medical wholesalers and sell bogus products to pharmacies. Five illnesses have been linked to the counterfeit medication, which carries the lot number NAR00074 and the serial number 430834149057.
