And if you use Slack, you'll probably want to take care of the latter before the former.
For some reason, Slack's mobile Android application was storing usernames and passwords for some users in plain text instead of them being encrypted — a major security breach. If your phone was hacked, cybercriminals could easily read your login info.
Slack discovered the problem in January and soon blocked usage from Android devices until Android users changed their passwords. Users are also encouraged to clear any Slack data from their devices, which can be done by going to the app, tapping on Storage, and then selecting Clear Data or Storage.
