One unusual problem with roller coasters

Of all the things a to worry about on a roller coaster, here's one you probably didn't see coming: A flying duck.

And that was exactly the problem for a Florida woman who was riding the biggest coaster at Orlando's Sea World. The coaster, the Mako, travels 73 mph and stands 200 feet high. At that speed, it was probably impossible to see a duck coming, but it was coming. The duck flew out of the lake below the coaster and into her face, knocking her unconscious.

In the resulting lawsuit, the woman says Sea World knows bird collisions have happened before but still maintains a lake with ducks under the coaster. She also says she suffered permanent physical injury and disfigurement from the collision. A trial is set for next year.
