According to a new study, published in Materials Today Advances, UK pharmacists created edible tablets with personalized drugs and regimens, a step toward simplified, individualized medical car, according to popsci.com.
The pills were created with a special 3-D printer that combined various drugs, plus release rate and dosage amount. Each pill can be designed — or actually printed — in geometric patterns and colors.
