It’s summer: Watch out for kids and pedestrians

Nice weather means that more people are outside. Kids are playing and more walkers and joggers are out every day.

Drivers beware. A child struck by a car going 40 miles an hour has a greater chance of dying than a child hit by a car going 20 miles an hour. The Emergency Advice, Safety, and Education organization says it pays to slow down in residential sections and near playgrounds.
