The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it will take formal action against Hims & Hers, a telehealth provider that prescribes and ships compounded GLP-1 weight loss drugs. According to Reuters, the FDA indicated that it would block Hims' access to drug ingredients and refer the case to the Department of Justice for additional investigation. Hims recently scrapped plans to sell a compounded version of Novo Nordisk's Wegovy tablet for $49 per month.
