It's best to attack spring allergies before you get the symptoms, according to Dr. Ahmad Sedaghat, quoted in the Harvard Health Letter. Runny nose, sneezing and coughing of spring allergies can be stopped by corticosteroid nasal sprays such as Nasonex or Flonase. Sedaghat says that the sprays treat a wider range of symptoms than other treatments, but they take about two weeks to be fully effective.
