Business email compromise has cost businesses $2.3 billion between October 2013 and February 2016, according to recent figures from the FBI.
Business has increasingly turned to more training for employees on issues of cybersecurity.
It probably wouldn't be necessary if employees followed some rules:
1 Don't share login credentials with anyone.
2 Always use a strong password. According to SplashData, the most common passwords used in 2016 are still "123456" and "password."
3 Don't install applications without consulting IT.
4 Don't upload company information to cloud storage.
