Coffee reduces dementia risk, unless it’s decaf

Moderate coffee consumption might brain health and reduce Alzheimer's risk, according to the New York Times. The study followed more than 130,000 people for up to 43 years and found that two or three cups of coffee per day or one to two cups of tea was associated with reduced risk of dementia, regardless of genetic risk factors. Only caffeinated coffee and tea were associated with reduced dementia risk, giving coffee drinkers another reason to pass on decaf.
