New check system streamlines airport security

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is testing new biometric eGates at three airports: Ronald Reagan Washington National in D.C., Seattle-Tacoma International, and Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson.

The new eGates will roll-out nationwide by next year. They are designed to make the security process quicker ahead of the World Cup and America's 250th birthday in 2026

At the moment, members of Clear+ will be able to use the eGates and avoid the TSA podium, moving straight to luggage screening process. Clear+ uses biometric data from your face, eyes or fingers to verify identity.

A Clear+ membership costs $209 and it can be bundled with TSA PreCheck.
