A person's ability to tell a short story, keeping all the facts in it and straight, can decline with age, according to a study in the Journal of Psycholinguistic Research.
In the study researchers compared two groups that were 40 years apart in age. The older group made more story and grammar errors.
Age-related changes in memory may impair the ability to reproduce the gist of a story.
