It's finally spring — great news for people who are sick of dark colors and long nights. With the right manicure, you can brighten up literally any outfit, whether you're at home in your jammies or in business attire at the office.
* Frosty pastels look great with a layer of shimmer or glitter on top for a punch of texture.
* Gradient nails have been a staple for a few years now and can be easily achieved at home. Use a foam makeup sponge to apply your gradient color over a base color, then finish with a topcoat.
* Periwinkle is this year's Pantone Color of the Year, and it looks great on nails, too. Try it with a matte topcoat or sparkly accent nails.
* Subtle colors never really go out of style, but they're especially big for spring 2022. Short, neat nails with clean cuticles and a nude polish always look fantastic.
For long-lasting manicures that resist chipping and look immaculate, visit a nail salon for gel polish or dip powder nails. Regular nail polish is a great choice for people who aren't as hard on their nails or like to change colors frequently — just don't forget the base and topcoats.
