Some new car prices might drop

If you are in the market for a new car, you may know that a variety of factors may affect affordability and supply. Some observers think a select few cars will probably go down in price.

New car prices are up a comparatively modest 3 percent over last year, according to Cox Automotive. Automakers built up inventory to prepare for the recent UAW strike. In October, the inventory was about 57 days' supply, the highest level since early spring 2021.
