The Food and Drug Administration has approved a new nonhormonal medication to treat night sweats and hot flashes, according to NBC News. Fezolinetant, from the drugmaker Astellas, is a welcome option for individuals who won't or can't use hormone replacement therapy to treat common menopause symptoms. Pharmacies are expected to stock the pills immediately.
