New chewable and even drinkable sunscreens are under development using the fern extract polypodium leucotomos.
One caution: The manufacturers do not claim that a simple gummy-type sunscreen can offer complete protection. Users still need to use some sort of high-SPF lotion, according to Yahoo News.
