If you have a card player in the family, why not make a gift of some of the new fancy card decks?
Non-card players especially tend to think of cards with the ubiquitous Bicycle design in red or blue. But, in fact, cards come in thousands of different themes, sizes, shapes and colors, all beautifully printed, and a pleasure to behold.
There's a card deck for every player with a specific interest.
Like movies? Try decks that feature Hitchcock movies, pirates, film noir or Sherlock Holmes.
For the animal lover, there are decks of wild animals, dogs, cats (and cards shaped like cats), butterflies, birds, owls bears or scorpions.
Tons of historical cards exist with kings and queens using telephones, real royalty being royal, with the jokers riding bikes and saints being saintly. There are cards that depict events in every war and a deck that commemorates the Lewis & Clark expedition.
And if you like to cheat, there are even marked decks. But play those caution.
