Recently, cars have joined the plethora of products and services that are available to customers with a subscription-based model that allows them more flexibility and choice, according to USA Today. Car companies like Porsche, Ford, and Cadillac have programs for their own cars, while companies like Clutch allow access to a variety of different makes and models. Most of these services allow users to pay a flat rate each month that includes the use of the car, maintenance, and insurance costs, albeit with a few restrictions on things like mileage, and they will often drop the cars off at a home or business. Depending on the situation, this model could be useful for frequent travelers that want to mix it up as well as those that do not want to own a car but need to use one for a while.
