Talk about farm fresh. A shopper in Australia opened a bag of grocery-store salad in May and found an unexpected extra ingredient — a live frog, tucked among the lettuce leaves.
According to The Associated Press, the little stowaway had apparently been scooped up with the greens back at the farm and rode all the way to the store shelf, none the worse for the trip.
Consider it a good reason to give those pre-washed greens one more look before dinner.
