With the Dow Jones Industrial Average bouncing between 24,000 and 25,000, it's easy to forget that in 1999 traders were jubilant about Dow 10,000.
It took 18 years to double that 1999 high. But it happened in January 2017: Dow 20,000.
Incredibly, just one year later, the Dow had reached 26,000.
