Drugs in the GLP-1 agonist class such as Ozempic and Wegovy have already transformed diabetes and obesity treatment, and now researchers say that they may also help prevent certain types of cancer. According to National Public Radio, early studies have already shown the drug's promise against several common cancers, including those linked with excess weight and obesity (such as breast, colon, and liver).
