Sixty percent of consumers don't have quick access to their health records and another 17 percent aren't sure if they do, according to a new survey from Carta Healthcare.
Out of over 1,000 patients who participated in the survey, a further 66 percent didn't know what happened to their data after they left their doctor's office. The large majority of the patients — 74 percent — indicated that better access to their data was important, and 45 percent said they were more likely to recommend physicians who provided easy access to their medical records.
