These tips will dispel static cling quickly, according to The Spruce.
1. Rub a wire hanger or foil along clothing. Static cling is caused by static electricity, and metal transfers the electrostatic charge to the metal.
2. Moisturize. Lotion adds humidity to your skin and keeps fabrics from clinging.
3. Hairspray. A few quick sprays on your clothing from a foot away should stop the cling.
4. Damp cloth or paper towel. In dry winters, a little moisture creates humidity and stops static cling.
