People with ADHD at higher risk of cardiovascular disease

Researchers from the Karolinska Institutet and Orebro University in Sweden have found that attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, according to Healthline. The researchers followed 5 million Swedish adults, including 37,000 with ADHD, for nearly 12 years and found that 38 percent of the adults with ADHD had at least one cardiovascular disease diagnosis, compared with just 24 percent of adults without ADHD.
