So while Grandma Linda knew tons of girls with the same name, her granddaughter Linda likely knows none.
The name has some stylish roots, though. In Spanish, linda means beautiful. The 1975 movie character Wonder Woman was played by Lynda Carter. And the popularity of the name in the 1940s may have been due at least in part to actress Linda Darnell, according to The Wall Street Journal.
