How fast is tax refund?
The IRS sends nine out of 10 refunds in less than three weeks. Refunds are delivered fastest for electronic filers who want a direct deposit. The slowest refunds go to those who file on paper and expect a paper check.
Refunds for those getting the Child Care Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit will be somewhat delayed. Over $1.6 billion has been fraudulently claimed through those credits.
