More is better when it comes to how many servings of fruits and vegetables to eat each day, according to Harvard Medical School. Researchers analyzed self-reported health and diet information from dozens of studies that included millions of subjects, comparing participants who reporting eating five servings of fruits and vegetables each day with participants who ate only two. The results are eye-opening — people who ate five servings faced decreased risk of death from heart disease or stroke, cancer or respiratory disease, and a decreased overall risk of death from any cause.
