The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning about unapproved fat-dissolving injections that can cause scarring, infections, and other severe side effects. According to NBC News, the injections are available at clinics and med spas around the country and often contain unidentified and unapproved chemical agents. Only one injectable drug, called Kybella, is FDA-approved to spot reduce fat.
