By now you might have noticed that products seems to be pretty — well, rosy this year. Or downright pink. There's a name for that: Viva Magenta!
Viva Magenta is the 2023 color of the year, according to the color experts at Pantone. It is a crimson red tone that balances warm and cool, they say. It's fuscia, but kind of maroon, but kind of red, and some raspberry, too. According to Pantone, Viva Magenta is a hybrid shade for our world split between the physical and digital. If you want to order it by color, the official designation is PANTONE-18-1750.
Whether you like it or not, you're going to be seeing everything in Viva Magenta: kitchen and home products, beauty products, cellphones, shoes, clothing, and lots of different paints.
To decorate with Viva Magenta, look to sands, grays and various beiges, according to easil.com. You can also look in the lilac and blue ranges. Some artists are showing it with bluish purples and shiny golds.
