Avoid nosebleeds from nasal sprays

Prescription nasal steroids such as Flonase, Nasonex, and others are often more effective than antihistamines for stuffy noses due to fall allergies.

But there is one annoying side effect: nosebleeds.

You can avoid nosebleeds by using the right hand to spray the left nostril and vice versa. This keeps the drug away from the septum and reduces the chance of a nosebleed.
