Why does a fan need an LED light to indicate it is on? Wouldn't you know the fan is on without a light?
Fact is our lives are now filled with bright, usually too-bright, LED lights on everything from the coffee maker to the computer. Most of them are unnecessary and have the side effect of making it hard to sleep or hard to avoid.
According to lifehacks.com there are some fairly easy solutions:
* Duct tape.
* Nail polish, less ugly than tape, a dark color can be applied to an outside LED light to dim it significantly.
* Aluminum foil, don't use it inside a computer! But it will cover lights that stick out of a device.
* Motherboard. Only for techies, this solution assumes there is an option in the BIOS settings to turn off the LED.
* Pillow over offending light: Strategy for hotels and guest rooms.
