A new study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry found that adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD, die an average of seven to nine years earlier than adults without the disorder. According to the New York Times, a number of risk factors may contribute to the shorter lifespans, including poverty, other mental health disorders, and substance abuse.
